“True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that – it is a spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.” – Charles Spurgeon
Avenue Malkenu, (my Father and my King)
You are the Creator of all things, the good, the bad, and the ugly(Is 45.7). You created all things with Your word, and made us in Your image, beings that speak life or death, blessings or curses (Pr 18.21). Please let your Spirit hover over me, over the waters inside of me, and bring to life every word seed inside of me that is good. May each true thought sprout to bring forth fruit that sustains those around me. As You placed Adam into the Garden to tend to it, to guard it, and to serve it, may You be the Master Gardener of my heart(Gn 2.15). Please uproot any weeds of resentment, bitterness, hatred, or selfishness. You gave Adam (humanity) dominion over the earth, so please help me to rule over my thoughts, my emotions, my feelings, and my desires to bring shalom, wholeness, or peace to those around me(Gn 1.26).
Help me place a guard on my mouth so that I only speak love, peace, and truth. Thank you for filling us with your Spirit and breathing life into us. Thank you for your word, Yeshua, who sustains all things in love that never fails and never ends. Thank you for creating the Light of Life, Yeshua, who overcame all of the evil and darkness in the world with goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for waking me up and giving me breath to talk to You and breathe life into others. Thank you for who you are. Thank you for being pure light, without darkness (1 Jn 1.5). Please shine your light that heals on all the dark places, inside of us and in the world. Thank you for creating everything perfectly and wonderfully. Help us not to break what you have made whole, including other people, communities, and relationships. Thank you for putting your fingerprint on me and on all human beings and for taking the time to weave a divine purpose inside each of us so that we can reflect you in a unique and beautiful way.
Love,
Brianna
